Hi, I’m Janine.  

 

I’m a Vancouver-based professional photographer, videographer, and producer with over 16 years of experience capturing life in all its forms—whether through still portraits, moving portraits or commercial projects. But more than that, I’m someone who has always been deeply drawn to connection. Whether it’s a heartfelt conversation during an 8-hour shoot or an unexpected chat with a stranger at a bus stop, I believe everyone has a story worth hearing—and I love being the one to listen.  

 

I’ve been fortunate to travel the world extensively, both for work and for the pure joy of exploration. Those experiences have taught me so much about the richness of culture, connection, and how beautifully unique life can be.  

 

Recently, I’ve found myself shifting gears. As a mom to two boys, Gunnar and Oscar, I’m learning a different kind of balance—slowing down to savor the little moments with them while speeding up to keep up with their energy and curiosity. Motherhood has challenged me in ways I never expected and gifted me a new lens through which I see the world.  

 

My Approach  

 

When I think about why I do what I do—and why it means so much to me—here’s what comes to mind:  

 

Being a wife and a mother has deepened my appreciation for the sacredness of family and connection. I’ve always been a lover of art, but now I see beauty not just in big, bold moments, but in the quiet, messy, unfiltered ones too.  

 

My values are grounded in authenticity, and I bring that into every project I take on. I believe honesty is contagious; when you create a space where people can be real, something extraordinary happens. That’s what I aim to do for every client—offer the space to be seen as you truly are.  

 

Your life, exactly as it is, is a work of art. If we work together, my goal is to show you just how raw, real, and breathtaking that art can be.
